Hey guys. I am just wondering if you know where i can get a good quality slide glove for cheap. Also if there are any gloves that you can buy that are good for making gloves.
Try rigging gloves. You can buy them at the hardware store. They're made of leather, but are softer and more flexible than gardening gloves. The only issue is that they tend to be a little loose, but they'll work OK and they're cheap.

gloves are easy to make. there are a few options.
Go to bunnings, to the tools department, and have a look at the mechanics / rigging gloves. they have a few different sets, but i found them to be quite expensive. alternatively, go to a safety shop, and get some from there, i have found them to be a fair bit cheaper. They fit nicely, have a wrist strap. They are made of leather, though normally deer or goatskin so are quite soft. They dont meet racing standards, but make for a good muck around, freeride, slide glove. Grab some sticky back velcro, i buy the "Velcro" brand stuff, as the adhesive is bloody good. For the pucks, the easiest way is to get a cuttingboard and cut out some pucks. Downside is, they dont last all that long, so do some reasearch, and find a plastics place and get hold of some good hard plastic. Stick the fuzzy side of the velcro to the glove, the hook side to the puck and your good to go.
next step up for the gloves is to get motorcycle gloves. They will give you alot more protection, and if you try on a few sets, you'll find a glove that fits you well, and isn't too bulky. attach the velcro in the same was as the other gloves. you can get moto gloves from a moto shop, but they are generally pretty expensive, but hit up ebay and you'll find some bargains.
