Going to build visor- Where do i get polycabonate

I want to make my own home-made visor, and i got the instructions of the forums

"2: get some polycarbonate i think its called
3:put a piece of paper on ur fullface and trace around where you want the actual visor (remember be generous u can always cut it down)
4:put the stencil on the polycarbonate
5: cut out the shape"

but where the hell do i buy poly carbonate :O

Cheers.

Ahh kk Cheers
i work there.... wanna split a sheet?

ps hey robbo would you go thicker to make a flippy visor?
Yeah james if u buy a sheet ill go halfsies. Can you get tinted ones? and how much are they?
all depends if you intend to heat shape it. If not than your gonna want it as thin as possible

heat shaping w/ blowdryer and towel draped onto helmet so the helmet dont melt. should that work?

@other james yeah bro what thickness of sheet? im more inclined to heat shape for a flippy visor. cya tmr at chelt? we'll talk then

Dont think so, just pop the polycarb in the oven!

dont do that james, pretty sure you'll fck your helmet and you wont melt the plastic.

i've done it by puting the plastic on baking paper in a tray in the oven on lowest heat, takes about 3-5mins for 3mm.

no dodgy smells afterwards? i dont want mum knowing im baking frikkin plastic in the FOOD oven. so once its softened waddya do? im still imagining a thick towel draped onto the helmet and you sorta mould it onto that. sound right?
doesnt smell. wait till it goes all floppy then just put in on your helmet, no towel. the plastic should be that soft that it forms to the shape of the helmet. wear gloves!

its all right here mate...you should be able to get it from most plastic stockers,,just look em up,,,,,goodluck
