ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Ok i wanna get into speedboardin and have worked out about topmounts and drop throughs etc ( heres my post on the fish - http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/longboard-speedboarding... )

and have been told to get a rayne hellcat; or when i mentioned i was in australia a glyde board. now i know everyone here says glyde is great and support and stuff but for a beginner that can swap between topmount and dropthrough which one would honestly be better. i know the hellcat is good and has the pleasure dome etc but everyone raves on about glyde here. so which is better?

i live in brisbane and at boardshop a hellcat is $265 and that happens to be the price of a GLYDE board. please help

i own one... its epic to the max...
the platform is dropped but only in a way that gives you a foot-lock in a kinda 'bowl' way. Essentially, its a top-mount board, but so extremely epic for freeriding. The 3D molding they have put into the board is so efficient, the pleasure dome that they added is so subtle but so effective and it really locks your feet in, and the front 'bowl' gives your front foot such a nice pocket and keeps you in place at all times...

definitely the most functional board for all types of riding on the market today
saweet thats what i wanted to hear might have to get one down the track
wait for the glyde its worth it...
its 3/8" dropped
