ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Basically i'm new to longboarding and i have been having a look around the marketplace and im basically torn on what to get, a landyachtz evo (http://www.skateboardracing.org.au/forum/topics/2010-evo-for-sale), or a legendary griffin (http://www.skateboardracing.org.au/forum/topics/sell-legendary-boar...).

The main use i want for the board is for a little bit of transportation and then to just cruise and carve, I also weigh about 90 kgs and am about 6ft3'inches.

So if you could PLEASE give me some help that would be greatly appreciated.

i would definetally not go with the evo
its a dh board, a big heavy dh board.
not sure about the griffin, but id suggest trying boards out before you buy.
loaded dervish or tan-tien is great,
or go for a norfin manta. aussie made, and a great cruising, pumpy board...
Agreed, if you arn't bombing fast, then the evo would be a mistake, if you are looking for a transport board, then something light would suit, like the loaded boards, but they also come with flex, which you may or may not like.
I don't know much about the norfin manta boards, how are they to ride?

Maybe a landyachtz 9to5 carbon? all depends on your budget!

Try looking on hopkin, or the other websites as well ------>
transportation, cruise and carve... you want my dervish... seriously. i'm selling it because i have no interest in cruising, carving or using my board as transport. they are light, very well made, practically indestructable and heaps of fun to ride. one day i'll probably buy another, at the moment i need the money to fund other stuff like leathers, helmet etc.
