Can anyone help me out.

I want to post a deck interstate. But I checked with Australia Post online and they don't post anything over 105cm in length. The deck I want to post is just over this length.

Anyone know what the steps that are in order to post a deck interstate (QLD to NSW) and the costs involved??

Deck is 10 inches wide, 107cm long, and about 2.2kg

Cheers

get or make a box that is 105cm long and just tall enough so you can fit your 107cm board in diagonally. use paper or bubble wrap to fill out the gap.

probably need to use a courier.. i think couriers please are pretty popular

they're also pretty cheap, around $15 for a board if you have an account

Thanks for your help. I found a courier that will do it for bout $17 in under 7 days

I sent my 107cm dervish to brissy recently, and they were a bit iffy about it but I persuaded them to do it. I said that it been posted (privately) to me before via aus post and they let me do it.

I sent a Landyachtz Evo (about 110cm packed) from Brisbane to Melbourne recently -  sent it with Australian Air Express (AAE) via this site www.temando.com. Basically the story is that AAE won't deal with you unless you have an account, so Temando works as a third party and you book the job under their account. It's a great service, they give you a tracking number that you can check the progress with on aae.com.au - price is a little higher than what you would pay if you had your own account, but it's still not too bad. Highly recommended.

sent a board from melb to brissy just over a week ago using 'e-go' couriers.

the deck was ~ 48*9.5 but packaged it came in around 53*13

total cost was ~$20, it was picked up on friday and delivered on wednesday.
