not sure if he was racing newtons on bastwaves or speed vents but they were the white ones... he didnt get on S9 wheels till the euro tour...
if your asking about an all round wheel, otang 80a or 83a 4prez, my 2 cents
centerset abec 11 freerides.
i have a set of the abec 11 86a freerides, which are very slidey. great wheel but limited use off smooth roads though (too hard to roll well so quite slow and slippery). had a shoulder op recently and haven't been sliding so i've kindly been lent a set of 84a earthwing floaters for cruising on, they're a great wheel and i'd really recommend them. they are fast over anything and well grippy but you can still push them into a slide if you want.
*i'm going to buy a set of the earthwings but can't decide what duro to get, does anyone have experience with the different duros and how they perform?
personal pref mate there is no best sliding wheel but personally i love the "4" company. they make white 70mm wheeels. they are so buttery and slidey there like abec 11 freerides but 60 dollars :) they last long aswell
Since this thread is from October 2009 I'm going to have to go ahead and make the rule that any further replies can ONLY refer to wheels that were on the market back then.
Thankyou in advance for your compliance in this matter.
