ASRA members; Skateboarders...CRISIS - I need your help.

ASRA members, skateboarders, I need your help....I cannot do this alone. Maga and Rob were helping but their lives got busy and I don't know any other skaters rolling up a sleeve for a cause.

It will not cost you anything but a little time.

The Australian Lifeblood aka The Blood Bank need our help due to a crisis. They need more of the regular donors to sign up, commit and walk in regularly to donate.

I have been donating blood and plasma since I was 18 and it is such a worthy thing to do to help out our fellow Australians.

The crisis is that there are not enough donors, and the demand is outstripping the supply.

Only 3 people of an eligible 100 are rolling up a sleeve to donate which means that we are having 40% of plasma imported from overseas.

Cancer patients are the largest collective of people who require blood products in order to fight their insidious disease.

Every cancer patient requires 18 donors per week to walk in, roll up a sleeve and donate blood or plasma.

I urge you to sign up, donate blood and register on the ASRA team so that we can move up from position 33 to somewhere more respectable. Let's break stereotypes and instead of leaving blood on the roads and footpaths, let's bag it for the punters who desperately need it.

Money cannot buy what we give.
