Get something like kite string or thin twine and wrap it up.
I found if doing both soles at the same then wrapping them up together sole to sole worked fine with 100% contact over the whole surface.

Try 187 contact adhesive they will never come off !! Stick them under something heavy for a day THEN TRASH THEM !!!
