Another skater injuryed please people wear your helmet

Saw in the sunshine coast daily on Sunday nov 12 2010, that a 30yrs from brisbane was skating down Queen of colonies st, a nice steep but short road with live traffic @ Moffat beach, caloundra. Unfortunatly he fell an was air lifted to Brisbane hospital. Hope he's ok. Anyone know who it was? And if he was wear a helmet?

I had a bad stack in Bondi the same day I would have been dead for sure if I was not wearing my helmet. I see people skating every day with no helmet told 2 dudes just today to get a helmet. its hard with the Bondi longboarding fad people just want to look cool while riding and a helmet dose not enter there head. These r the people we should be concerned about. It's not the die hard skater checking ASRA every day not wearing a helmet its tommy and johnny just down for a little roll. This is why Spreading the ASRA sotke is so important.

We always session that hill, and always see people trying to skate there without helmets and it worries me so much. It's definately not a road to be taking lightly if you come off. The ones who usually skate there are way to cool for helmets thought, but to hear of a 30yr old! he should of known better. That is very sad to hear.
There are some residents there, young and old, that are exetremly stoked by what we do there and respect what we do as a sport. I choose to skate there today, full kit, full face, and was surprised by the number of locals who came out to say hello. I'm going back tomorrow to ask, and I would like everyone on asra's feedback on this, about holding a sliders session/competeion. Any ideas or insight would be great. Not sure how to work scoring, how, or who is winner.

Longboarding is taking a huge rise down here on the south coast of nsw (Ulladulla to Nowra and everywhere around). Walked into rollcall the other day and saw a mate come in a a massive black eye and a broken arm. Im not too sure if he was wearing a helmet but i know many of the boys aren't. I've found my knee and elbow pads are a must, along with gloves, but a new helmet's on the top of my list as soon as i get paid.
I think we might need to set up a facebook page to promote what asra does, just to get out to those lads who aren't on asra and dont wear any gear at all.
You're doing a great job guys, keep it up.
Not all are friendly Millzy, have had a couple of police visits on that one road. I reckon it would be a hard one aye, gets pretty busy on a weekend. With tourists and so on.
The road behind QOC would be OK for a slide sess/comp, pretty quiet and wide .

Why not use both roads, pretty sure I can sweet talk the locals
