ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Adidas has a new competition happening. This one would be easy for a crew from ASRA to win.

You need a team of three people, they do their passion for 60 hours straight on Melbourne's Southbank from April 18 to 20, 2011.

Adidas has a skate category, but they are thinking ramp skating. Why not enter as a push skating team, or longboarding team.

You have to do it 60 hours straight. The team that makes 60 hours wins. If more than one team makes 60 hours then it is decided by facebook votes.

From the competition details:

In teams of three, two members must always be active while the third will use some much needed downtime to enlist friends and followers to vote for them as Australia's most passionate! The last team standing after 60 hours wins!

With ASRA and longboarding community behind a team, there is no way a longboard team will lose on a vote count if they make the 60 hours.

Some conditions

Entry age requirement is 18 to 25-years-old. Competition closing date is 8th April with finalists announced by 17th April. Competition finalists will need to be available to travel to Melbourne on 17th April and participate in the adidas ALL IN Challenge from 18th to 20th April.

Prize

Winers get $10,000 and a trip to LA to see David Beckham play football and Katie Perry sing. I'd say ditch game and concert and do your own LA tour: Visit Skatehouse, Loaded and skate the Malibu hills!

If a longboarding team wins, I'll line up some cool things for them to do in LA.

I would definitely do this if I didn't have classes during those days... Why hold it on a weekday??
I will do it.
I am down like a dooughnut on this one. I will catch the bus over. Someone put me on their team and sign me up.

fendy if your down let me know, i am defs keen to do it, more then happy to take time off tafe for it

should take down the age limit to 16 ?

read section 14 of the terms and conditions. Good luck to anyone from ASRA that decides to enter.

Ok, I thought about it over many beers and shots last night and im out.

Gonna race and win in Adelaide instead.

the designated area thing throws me.... having said that i feel as though some dancing, park riding etc could be incorperated into skating in small circles for a 20 odd hours
