Below is some important information for riders. Please read it to ensure you know what's happening when.

Thursday May 2

Rider Check-in

All riders MUST attend the rider check-in on Thursday May 2 between 12pm and 5pm. Your equipment will be inspected to ensure it complies with the IDF Race Rules and Regulations, and you will receive a rider pack and a wristband to allow access to the track.

Address: Skillset, 341 Havannah St, Bathurst NSW 2795
Map: http://goo.gl/maps/EoCAO

Rider Meeting

All riders MUST attend the rider meeting, which takes place immediately after rider check-in.

Camping

Camping costs $25 per person for the whole four nights. The campround will be available from Thursday morning until Monday morning.

Camping must be purchased at the rider check-in. Friends and relatives are welcome to camp - purchase camping for them when you check-in, or alternatively they can attend check-in and purchase camping themselves.

The campground is at McPhillamy Park, close to the start line.

Food

Some food will be available for purchase near the start line from Friday to Sunday.

  • Coffee - available from breakfast-time onwards.
  • Breakfast - only a minimal amount of food will be available in the morning.
  • Lunch - available.
  • Dinner - not available. You can cook for yourself at the campsite, or eat in town.

Race Days: Friday May 3 - Sunday May 5

The track will be open for practice at 8am each day. It is up to you to be there on time and ready to ride.

Race Format

See here for details.

Refer to the running order for details of what happens when.

Transponders

Each rider will receive a transponder for use during the timed runs on Friday. Skateboarders strap them to the front ankle; lugers to either ankle. They look like this.

  • Transponders must be returned at the end of racing on Friday. Failure to return a transponder will require payment of $75 to cover the cost. If the payment is not made the rider will take no further part in the race.

  • If a transponder no longer works due to damage in a crash, it will be replaced with no payment required.

  • Any riders that swap transponders among themselves will be instantly disqualified from the race. Each rider's name appears onscreen as they cross the finish line, making detection trivial.

  • Multi-discipline riders will receive only one transponder. Timing staff will ensure that their runs are assigned to the correct discipline.

Presentation

The awards presentation will take place at the start line immediately after the finals on Sunday.

After-party

The after-party will take place on Sunday night at Castrol Tower (between the start line and the campsite).
