i think im speaking for most of the groms attending but i think that we have school at the end of next weekend when the race might be postpone to.which alot of the groms parents wont be happy with them racing throughout there school day. although saying this i rekon i will still be able to come whether or not it is on a school day.
Jacko and Ben know what they're talking about, and they're both hardcore mofos, i'm going with their call, it doesn't sound safe to race it wet.
Don't forget your port duddy
dude i got 1/2 way down that shit & it was just patchy.. Give me a god dam sumo suit & a gut full of piss & i still won't ride that shit wet!!! ( well i might but i don't mind a drop & who knows what I do when im cheery....) If it does go ahead in the wet i will be grab'n a box & 10 first aid kits & watch'n that carnage.
i agree, postpone it. im there for traction not a slippery wrestle, someone will definitely get hurt in the wet without the safety barriers etc that jacko mentioned.
WET OUTLAW = GROMS DYING
Postpone that shit.
yeh i agree,we checked the hill the other day,.its fairly narrow with lots of hazards to crash into of the edges of the road, few parked cars etc, considering the speed you will be travelling,in the wet it would be carnage, the surface isnt rough but its wonky with little bumps and cambers sloping off in all kinds of directions, wich would make it hard to maintain traction.
in the wet there would be at least 2 big slides involved and the slightest error would see competitors sliding straight off the track and into whatever.
not so much the sliding being the problem, the biggest slams would be from people trying to grip the top little cnrs and straights and hitting lumps and losing grip..its shady and its got that mossy thing goin on were as soon as its wet its icy.
if the surface was flat, smooth and predictable it would be a slightly different story, but this hill has features, lots of them.
there was wet patches there the other day,it was unridable.
if it was totally soaked you could session the corner but yeh for a wet race here you need lots of hay, etc.
lets hope its sunny and dry anyway.
