Event Description

What: This is a CHARITY slide jam! (More info below) - DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU THINK YOU'RE NO GOOD ENOUGH TO SKATE!!! You don't HAVE to skate... just come for the fun and the freebies! And the Charity!

When: We're aiming for the 16th December. Write it down! Time will be released later on.

Registration will begin on Wed, Nov 14th at 7pm Once rego is paid there will be no refunds for any reason, you use it or you lose it. All money goes towards the charity StreetWork. (More info later to come)

What to bring: WATER, Board(s), Gold Coin, Food (unless we sort out food...)Hopefully we can get a BBQ happening for all of you, Helmet, Gloves, Steez.
There are local shops, but if you leave to go to the shops you cannot enter in an event that overlaps with your time away. Make sense?

We are currently working on the logistics and legalities of closing that section of the road for the time we are there... Fingers crossed!

THE CHARITY:

Streetwork!

StreetWork is a Sydney based charity helping young people aged between 11 and 18 who are "at risk".
Their aim is to break the sad cycle of crime, violence, destructive family relationships, rejection and isolation, learning difficulties, poor employment opportunities and substance abuse.
The end result is they get young lives back on track.

Comment by Luke Smith on October 21, 2012 at 20:38: yeah but dont worry you can freeride from where ever you feel comfortable going from, that hill is great for the jam, being so wide and being in and industrial area and having the event on a sunday where the businesses are closed.
