Event Description

What The?

We are pleased to bring to you W.A's first legal ASRA insured Downhill event. The location is at Jack's Hill Climb track at Barbagallo Raceway on Saturday November 24th

Facilities

There are toilet facilities, bulk parking, and plenty of spectator viewing areas.

We have managed to secure catering for the race from the wonderful ladies at http://www.mybelly.com.au/index.php?p=Home

a variety of hot and cold food and drinks will be available on the day, ranging from sushi to meat and salad rolls / wraps etc plus Hot items and treats. All food and drinks range from $3.50 to $8.50.

The Track

The track is of a moderate skill level. Estimated speeds of 60-65kph. All corners are railable.

Format

There will be 2 Divisions. 32 Groms (16 and Under) and 32 Opens. Exact format will be determined closer to the event

ASRA Rankings

As this is a legitimate event it will attract Category 3 ranking points, if there is one race you attend this year it should be this one!

Registration

This event has a limit of 64 riders

Open Registration will begin on Wed, October 17th at 6pm (WST) 9pm (AEST). Open Registration will close Nov 17th or when rider list is full. Once rego is paid there will be no refunds for any reason, you use it or you lose it.

Prizes are still being sorted. I can confirm 1st place Non Groms is a Fat Pigeon Paragon, their latest deck. We can now announce CASH PRIZES in the OPEN Division!!!

Safety Requirements

Minimum Safety Gear will be Full Face helmet, Gloves, Knee Pads and enclosed skate shoes. Jeans are optional.

Schedule

Gates open 8:00
Rider Check In 8:00-9:00 (Tech Inspection)
Riders meeting 9:00-9:15
Practice Runs 9:15-10:00
Racing from 10:15 onwards.

Remember

We MUST leave the track as we find it so ALL litter must be collected.

Robbo, thanks a tonne for your advice, support and help with the rego.

Bugs, Jacks Attack will run again! it was always the plan for this to be an annual event. While the track is good there are options to change the top half of the track and throw in a couple extra corners. we're gonna explore that over the next 12 months and see it we can make the track better again.

As soon as the official edit is up we'll share it around and to all the sponsors so they can see what went down. Ian is on the job! it will be DOPE!

It would never have run so well with out the help of David Blackwood! Your efforts of the Start line was phenomenal! Ian Mcglynn, this wouldn't have happened with out your connections and sponsor hook ups! All of the track marshal's that sat around the track (too many to name) you guys rock! Elijah and Jack Mcnamara-Haendel you two on the finish line made life a world easier! Steve Stuart-Smith you are a legend, helping me run around and collect hay bails and set them up at the track. Everyone who help in anyway, even by showing up and supporting us today, THANKYOU!!!
