yeah best time ever. well worth the $$$ to get over there and i for one will definitely be there next time. can't thank the organisers enough for spending their time and money to put the event together for us to ride. everything went so smoothly and it was all due to the people that were making sure we kept riding their hill.

What a weekend! I've been skating for 20 years and it was the most fun I've ever had on a skateboard.

Big thanks to all the Townsville crew who organised this event - Adrian, Michaela, Andrew, Grits, Clay and who can forget Eleanor and her speed runs in the ute up the hill! You guys put on a tremendous show. There is a tremendous amount of effort that goes into putting on an event like this. I hope you have not been totally drained and will be keen to keep this event going.

Thanks to everyone I rode with, it was awesome. My skills improved tenfold over the weekend. Thanks to Bugs for an excellent SGS course. That was serious fun!!

See you all at the next one!

Oops, forgot to mention the staunch effort of the guys who turned up early on saturday morning and helped setup the marquees (it was like being a boy scout setting up tents in the dark). To Pete Hill, mate you were there all weekend helping, but we would have let you sit out the pulling the tents down, you didn't have to do that to yourself to avoid folding the buggers back up (;-)> To Steve daddow for thinking he was at the Show and trying to hit the bell with the sledgy to Murry for sleeping over on saturday night so we didn't have to pull everything down (I'll pay for your blood transfusion mate - gotta love the mossies in the tropics) to all the guys who stayed and helped getting the bales off the hill, the tents down and everything cleaned up a huge THANKS. I love the community of this sport and the way guys pull together. As Bow said, we found 5 sets of leathers for him to choose from so he could ride.

Thanks again to every one who came and helped and had a good time and here's hoping we can make this happen again.

Cheers again

Guys it was great to see everyone having such a good time and noone getting really badly hurt. Thanks for coming and making it such a great weekend.

Michaela, who did the vast majority of the work to get this event off the ground and running so smoothly, is still doing the figures on the cash. We still have some bills to pay and some donations to collect but so far it is looking good.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Michaela publicly for putting her wedding planning on hold (her and Grits are to be wed on Mt Stuart in October) to organise this event for us. I don't think a lot of the riders on the weekend realised it was her that did so much of the work as she is the silent in the background type. BIG THANKS TO MICKI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heaps of pics to come as well as a decision on 2010.

Cheers all

Like everything that's already been said BTB was a crazy downhill weekend for everyone. To Grits, Michaela, Ado, Andy, Clay, and ASRA massive effort all weekend too all the riders on the hill it was a pleasure to share and ride the road with all of you. Hope we can continue to have consistant rides with everyone going so we all get to ride with the ozzies, one of the worlds best and getting better. Roll on n safe riding..
