Event Description

Get excited, time to dust off the old snake run skate machines and do a little bank slalom.

Where: Dulwich Hill Snake Run

What: *NEW* Battle Jam Showdown  format - single timed runs.

Round 1
Everybody does four runs, and are then ranked in order of their total time. The fastest rider in the round wins $. The slowest half of the riders are eliminated. The fastest half progress to Round 2.

Round 2
Exactly the same as Round 1, but with more $$. Your times from the previous round do not carry into this round - you start fresh.

Round 3
Exactly the same as Round 2, but with even more $$$!

Final
The fastest two riders from Round 3 have two more runs each. Those two times are added, and the winner is...well, the winner. He'll get $$$$.

Note:
If you hit a cone, or fail to finish the course, it is a DQ. But don't worry - you still get a time for DQs - it will be your slowest time in that round plus two seconds.

We had a great time at Bulleen.

Snake runs are rad.

Make sure you invite some kids with Penny's.

They really get into it and it is a great way to invest in the next generation of racer!

Working on a really twisted jam format for this. Kind of a knockout jam. Everybody gets a minimum four runs, but most will get more.

We messed around with how to end the course today - here's one option trialled by Trav:

Well, the idea was to transition on to the asphalt bike track...

yep, all ASRA events are old fool friendly.

Set the course today, loads of fun.

Some random local guy killing it on a zflex and a couple of skaters on regular street decks. good times ahead

Will this be ok for an old fool who is just skating again after 35 yrs?
