Hi, You make what seems a valid observation. The current price is probably too high for beginners. Most of our customers are already longboarders who purchase the truck set to add to their existing deck or to another deck of their choice. The smaller numbers that buy a complete would include parents/partners providing a Brakeboard as a gift.

Most Brakeboarders seem to be commuters in areas with other traffic, although quite a few want to try them for downhill runs. Because brakes are not currently legit in racing events, the new model has a removable pedal.

Price is a problem because we are currently manufacturing in batches of 1000. If numbers increase, we can bring the price down.

As you mentioned, most of the action is in the US which accounts for 50% of our sales. Includes many states -  from Alaska to Hawaii.

breakboard. 

 seems like a high-end product aimed at the entry level market. most people that cannot slow down / stop at will are new riders that will generally get a cheapish set up. i dunno how to say it with out sounding like a hater , its just an observation.

The product seems a bit gimmicky , like grombiz trucks, i can see you've put shed loads of effort into the product and it looks smart. Im just not sure the price point matches the market, especially in the US were the real action is and products are a lot cheaper.

 Having said that i realise this is a core skater community and I may have well missed the mark on demand for breakboard.

Plus the primary reason people jump on a skatey is the bust out mega power-slides.

Must admit that i'd love to get a home grown quiver organised with a deck from everyone!

Cool. I'm looking for a drop through drop deck at the moment - the '1 board for all' thing.

Looked at some Daddow's and Early's but they aren't quite grabbin' me...

 

Looks to be a very subtle drop of the deck???
