how do we know if we signed up? my page says, 'please wait while registration takes place' is that ok? does that mean it worked?

Try using a different internet browser. For example, Internet Explorer instead of Firefox

nah it doesn't Dani. I was having the same problem. its cos it doesn't work with certain internet browser like Firefox.
EVERYONE TRY EXPLORER OR SAFARI IF YOU'VE GOT A MAC.

As far as I know all riders that were having problems earlier have now registered. One area that is still struggling to hold up is those paying with PayPal. Unfortunately this is out of our control, paypal is a great service its just not a strong system. In the early hours the server was trying to survive the equivalent of a hacker attack.
If you still haven't registered and don't have a credit card and have no option but to register with paypal and it fails please contact me and I will arrange registration for you. My details are on the Newton's contact page
