ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Hello everybody!

I will be moving  to Newcastle next month from Canada.  I took up long boarding last year and am keen to get into the local scene, meet some new people and hopefully learn some new stuff.  I'm into mostly cruising and dancing right now.  Although I'm starting to develop a thurst for sliding and downhill as well.

Is there still a weekly session?

Meh, I figure I'd like to be a school teacher one day.  It will help me keep connected with the youth!

Cool man,
Ill keep in touch.

CAPs EVERYWHERE....

I got some spots... Im in jesmond. skate now bleed later.

Hey man,

I just discovered Fernleigh track today.  What a great ride!  But ya, I'm pretty mobile.  So if you wanna hit some hills just let me know.  I'm always up for new spots!

Oh man! Sorry mate i totally forgot about you, (no offence).
Yeah but anyways, im still keen for a weekend.

Hahaha No worries Pat!

I thought of it today, I should have let you know I was goin out.  A jam at fernleigh some time could be fun.

Yeah sure. Iv never actually ridden on fernly (even tho its 5 min away), what was it like?

Its pretty gradual but super fun!

when you hit the downhill its just a long smooth ride for 7k.  I loved it.

Fernleigh is a fun cruisy run. I just did it a couple of weeks ago, late night rain sesh with a few mates, way more fun in the wet/dark.

Nice!  Was it hard to see in the dark?

Yeah kinda. You can see the track well enough though and if all else fails just follow the lines. The bit that trips you out the most is that you have no idea how fast you're going because you don't have anything to judge your speed by.

Lol, sketchy.
