ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

OK, it isn't quite live yet, but the ASRA crew plus other volunteers have arrived, and we're busy setting up here at the Scout Camp. Tomorrow we'll be busy with last minute stuff, plus rider check-in which starts at midday.

It's wet, and the forecast is for the rain to continue until Thursday night. After that it should be mostly clear.

There's a lot of wildlife here - possums, deer, bush turkeys, lyrebirds and the most common of all - leeches. This place is seriously crawling with leeches - salt is supposedly the thing to ward them away.

A friendly leech outside our front door

See you all tomorrow at rider check-in.

Great coverage on Win news very positive

The clouds are back today, so the track is unlikely to dry out completely. We've had two practice runs, and the third is about to begin. Then the second timed qualifier.

Dani Hawes has the ice off his knee and is back riding today.

And the weather is starting to clear...patches of blue appearing and a bit of a breeze.

Pat Hurel has damaged his hip and is out of the race, saving himself for Newton's next week and Beat the Bastard for the week after.

Jeremy Rodgers on track - the first qualifying run of the day - classic luge.

Furlong qualifies first in Classic. Yatesy can't repeat his feats from yesterday, and qualifies 6th. Daddow scrapes into the finals in 8th.

Smallest rider Bayley Richardson crashed hard in practice and had a ride in the ambulance...but he's still planning on having a qualifying run today.

Colin, is there a number I can contact you on?

Yes!

In case anybody's wondering, a 999.000 in the qualifying means a "Did Not Start".

Ollie Price-Reeve crashes on the first corner.

And just heard that Kelly Carter is off to hospital with a dislocated shoulder. A bit of carnage happening today.

Dasha with a very fast run...will be hard for the other women to beat. 12 seconds faster than Ishtar.
