depends on which race ur gonna enter some are super fast(newtons) and others are slower (hillclimb)

Skate downhill with friends. If you've been skating by yourself most of the time, the presence of other riders can change everything no matter how good you are. It's something to get used to. And look up racing etiquette

If ur really keen to get into racing or comps I would suggest getting to the blue mountains this weekend for the grom bomb. You won't be able to compete but it's a good idea to go and check it out and get an idea of how a competition actually works. There might not be another grom race for some time so I would say put the effort in and get urself to the grom bomb!

Otherwise on Sunday there is a race on at Newcastle. This one is not a 'juniors' race but still another race none the less. It's called 'Top Of The Pile' and the details for the event are on the main page underneath 'events'

i go downhill with my mate :) i always longboard with him
