wats up people! where are all you northern beaches skaters at. just wondering if there are any skaters out there on the northern beaches that want to organise a small session every now and then, sliding and a bit free-ride etc.. i live in manly and have just been having to skate by myself which gets hella boring. so if your anywhere near give us a shout cause I'm keen to skate with some other guys.

coz it will help your skating... and its why skateboards exist... and you live on the northern beaches...

wanna be an epic skater? start surfing

continue arguing with jacko, its funny as shit to read

There's loads of people that have skateboards on the northern beaches- they carry them everywhere.

dude its not an argument. people who live on the beach should try surfing, especially if your a skater. they go hand in hand.

and ben there are plenty of people on the northern beaches who actually DO skate, its a surf culture around there. they just dont do all the gnarly shit that longboarders like myself do. go to Manly on a weekend you will probably see more longboarders kicking around that your local hood. its good to see people cruising around n what not but theres a reason they dont do the crazy shit we do: the hills around here are farkin gnarly and you gotta be either retarded or pretty damn good at longboarding to go down them

yeah i know theres heaps of skating when the surf is off - shortboards, longboards, looongboards, pennys, and i'm there too cause i do live in manly.  but there's also plenty of strutting with board in hand going on too!  That's good for a laugh if nothing else.

I know what you mean about the slopes here, either flat or gnarly.  So when are you going to point out some better runs to other locals?

I will never point them out. If u live there u know where the steep sections are...

There's plenty of spots with a corner or something to jam on, just gotta look. But when u say a 'run' then that's totally out of the question, coz the 'runs' I know (by that I mean more than one corner and decent speed) is riddled with traffic and is steep as fuck. And I encourage no one to skate them unless you can handle some serious business. Plus I really like the fact I don't have 100 kids swarming and blowing it out. Who shreds it first claims it...

ben, have a look around collaroy plateau....theres a great hill to learn on, its not fast and the road is not busy as hell (who thought there'd be such a place on the northern beaches). the roads called edgecliffe boulevard, its perfect to start.
