a cool novelty angle, but otherwise not a huge fan. sorry
basically its a "Slide Cam". looks good with the slides, but thats about all. what you'd do is mix it up with other angles and throw a few of these in when sliding about. you wouldn't use it for a whole video like i did with that. its rather boring.
yeah its linden. and for some reason it was one of the only roads that was wet in that area this arvo. i really wanted to test my Freerides again in the dry. damn world.
I saw your post on the fish and its sounds like your liking the new o-tang free rides.
I just need to decide which ones to get, o-tang or retro?
Retro grip more and last longer but the o-tangs slide smoother and transion better from grip to slide from what iv read on the fish.
yeah, from what i understand the difference in wear between the two isn't heaps. and so far, my freerides have barely any wear on them from a lot of sliding (wet and dry). if i'd done as much sliding on my InHeat's as i have on my Durian's in the last week, they would look similar to Jacko's. so i'm extremely happy with how they are holding up.
i think it comes down to either wanting a gripper freeride wheel or a slidier freeride wheel and in my opinion, the O'tangs are grippy enough. also it kinda defeats the purpose having grippy freeride wheels.
yeah that cam works well leigh but still i fkn hate that view, cant look at it for longer than like 5 seconds, awesome while in slide though as u said, just annoys me though i wanna see the whole view infront LOL!! so im guessing u figured out how to rig it up on ure protec lid, should be good in the car park!! CANT WAIT WOOOOO p.s loving the music AHAHHAHA reminds me of oldskool smashbros
yeah, annoying is the best way to describe it. purely a "slide angle". i also thought of a rig on the wrist, pointing up the arm. if it works how i visualise it, it would look sweet in a slide. but it would be pretty hard to get it right.
not as well as the InHeats or any slalom style wheel for that matter, but thats understandable. i can still pump them on my dervish pretty well (pumping on a Dervish aint easy) and i found them to have better acceleration and momentum than the InHeats after riding to and from work a few times last week.
but i wouldn't bother getting them if thats what you want em for. after all they are called "Freerides". :)
a lot of those slide skills have popped up over the last week since i got my Freerides. i can now focus on technique rather than "What do i do to break into and out of a slide?".
yeah the angle is good for cross stepping and throwing shove-its and stuff.
the loaded guys made it work in this video -
