ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Yes thats right, all those awesome vids ive been making over the years are now available on dvd for $20 each (that is to cover the cost of the dvd, printing and postage, seeing as i dont have the rights to the music im not selling the "content" if you catch my drift)
Please excuse the pictures i whipped em up quick to get a 'preview' shot to put up on the net but the actual print on the DVD itself will look a lot cleaner.

There are 2 DVDs available:

Skate Today, Tomorrow It Could Rain...
This was the original J-Crew video from back in the day which increased into a massive compilation of videos shot in 2007. It includes slalom races from the 2007 Cone Head Cup (San Remo and blacktown) urban bombing around the northern beaches, longboarding and 'soul-session' and a huge 9.5min sliding section. In total there is 84mins of goodness packed into this disc with fully animated menus.

Hopkin Racing 2008 DVD
This DVD focuses more on the 2008 downhill scene. It has video from all the IGSA world cup races up until Maryhill (so thats Newtons Playground, Peyragudes, Almabtreib, Rock & Roll and Maryhill), and also includes downhill vids that i have shot in 2008 from all around the world. It also has a bunch of extras including videos ive shot with my POV1 Lipstick cam and a few downhil runs here and there. It is shot entirely in Widescreen HiDef and looks pretty damn awesome.

If anyone is interested let me know im going to put these to print in the next few days, i'll do 10 of each for now. When i get a couple DVDs burnt i'll do a 2-pack for $35 with both DVDs in a propper printed hard-case

This is a strictly a fundraiser. I am not doing this for profit. All proceeds will go towards traveling to world cup races and representing my country in the sport of Downhill Skateboarding.

I ll take a double pack on the weekend, I ll recharge my portable Dvd player so I have something to spyche me up between runs.
well turns out ive had a day of some extreme technical difficulties... really sucks ass. Im not sure if im going to have any copies of the double pack done by the weekend...
If anyone wants one they will be ready by next week
I am in for the 2 pack , let us know when to give you the money or bank transfer etc
lance
ok so my computer really screwed me around and i had to re-render everything, so i didnt get time to make any copies before the weekend... and seeing as im leaving for QLD tmoz i wont be able to bring any up for the weekend... spewin!
i'll post up here when i get them done (should be next week) and i'll send em out if anyone wants em. And yes the Kozi video is on there, which is why i had massive hassles (rending an 80min vid takes a long time)
I would love ze twin pack to Jacko, still havent seen "skate today, it could rain tomorrow". Had a skate clinic at our new park today and the organisers are still very keen to get some of your DVD's organised for the opening (whenever it happens) both to sell and maybe 3 or 4 to give out so make sure you leave a bunch reserved. More money for you epic trip into the world circit hall of fame (hopefully). I will keep you posted dude. Congrats on CHC!!
i dont really wanna sell em on the 'open market' coz its kind of illegal, seeing as i dont actually own the rights to any of the music i dont wanna get busted. Anyone who buys a DVD off me is either a mate of mine or a member of ASRA, and i am only charging to 'cover my expenses' if you catch my drift...
Come on Jacko , look up the rehersal sound studios in Sydney , put the message out for support in the form of music tracks for your xtreme sports DVD , no payment but full credit for your segment. Good publicity for upcoming Aussie bands and royalty free music for you, no more hassles releasing future DVDs professionally, enough money made to travel the DH and Slalom circuits next year...just a thought
Its the way Jon Freeman of Crusty Demons Collection started doing it with his Snowboarding Dvds Creatures of Habit Series back in the early ninety's, many bands have become world famous this way from Xtreme sports DVDs....
Point taken Jacko, prison sucks and I learnt from a Billy Conolly VHS today (advert at the end of tape) that piracy funds terroism and you certainly dont wanna be doing that. Give us a yell if things change. I still want a twin pack though!
Jacko could I have the "2-pack for $35 with both DVDs in a propper printed hard-case"
double packs are finished and ready to roll. Anyone interested in their copy please give me a shout.
i will have 10 copies available at beat the bastard
Ive done another run and there are 8 more available. If anyone is interested in one of these DVD packs let me know. $35 including postage
