It's a good choice Joe. Im riding 75mm In Heats and reckon they're fantastic. Im sure your friend is a lovely chap but I would say that he is either living in the past or talking from his ass. Get him a pair of O'tangs to and let him judge, he will be suprised me thinks.

Peace
Dani
hahaha yer probably dani ayee. haha yer once i get them i will keep bragging to him about them haha :)
yer they look sweet, do you have any idea when there coming out kooky?
would the shape help it to slide way better.
i'd definately say they would be a better slide wheel... the curved edges help to break out into slides alot easier... think of it this way, the sharper the edge of your wheel, the more grip, the more curved, the more slide...

was going to keep it under wraps till i make one, but i want to share :P new topmount design, ill admit, its based off the avenger, but ive tweaked it to my tastes, with the wings, slightly different profile and wheel wells!

o tangs rock til jacko exerts peer pressure and you start driftin corners on rough shit road then all the grip you had on the lips are gone.Word of warning dudes when jacko heads over your way better stock up on wheels because by the end of the weekend you won't have many good wheels left Ha Ha Ha
Yep, i decided i was happy with the design so id let it out :P i figure no one here would steal my ideas, not like those pesky silverfishers :P haha
same concave as the other boards (using the same mold), zero flex, will be built like a tank!

The boards will be pressing later this week. with the resin we have, and the shit weather we are having lately, were not game to press any boards untill the temp is back up a bit. im hoping we have them out of the press and shaped by the end of the weekend.

what specs would you like sams board again? length and width? just so i can scale it down properly.

yeah thats the only problem I have with the otangs, which is an issue when they are $110 a set. but thats what you get if you want soft wheels. hopefully one day there will be a wheel with the same characteristics as the otangs, only they slowly and cleanly wear down.... I guess bigzigs are close.
the good thing about the o-tangs is when you wear them down they still grip a sufficient amount... some other wheels once you slide them a few times or cone them they are fucked and then become your 'thrashing' wheels... i'll agree the o-tangs wont be AS grippy as brand new once you wear in that inside edge but they are still pretty damn good to say the least...
I have discovered that alot of hills on the Island rnt really suitable for the In heats. Some of the surfaces are a bit rough and they dont grip so well. May get something different when I get my Chinook. They are great on buttery Adelaide roads though. Bloody farmers ruin everything, even skating on the island!

Peace
Dani
