ok so i made some slide gloves and had been doing those slides where you basically get on your toe side and fall onto the ground and hold on. these normally end in me doing an involuntary 180. falling off trying to stay in the same direction or stopping. i riding a dervish with 86a durians btw and they rock. anyway i have been trying heelside slides and can do 180s fine but cant get my gloves down. so i tried grabbing the side of the board or the 'rail' as they are called with my left hand (im goofy) and BANG. THERE I GO SLIDING DOWN THE STREET. these are still hard and normally its a bit of a chattery slide that turns heaps and i end up turning up the street a bit but i did it. ive been practicing every day since i made the gloves and they are so awesome. i do need some tips on bringing the board back to the direction i started in though. i thnk what i want is called a speed check or something. cause even when on my toe side i manage to stay on at say 70 degrees off where i started the slide when i stand up the momentum nearly always throws me over and i have lost most of my speed. so any tips on how to use my slide gloves better would be appreciated. and dont forget to compliment my awesomeness in landing a coleman slide :) jks.
