ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Soooo me and my friend have dervishes and home made slide gloves and i was wondering about these sessions that pop up every couple of weeks.
  • how many people?
  • is it legal?
  • would our boards be up to scratch with whats goin down?
  • how old is everyone?
  • any parents?
yeah thats about it. cause we think if we were getting some tips from other longboarders we would progresss a bit faster . also im keen to have a crack at speedboarding but just wanted to try some different types before i got one. i think thats all i wanted to know.

by the way we are both 15 and our skill level is basically a bit of dancing 180 stand ups and completely struggling at trying to use the gloves we made today.
thanks , Jack

Dude, you have everything to skate for on friday night sessions.......You willl progress alot quicker skating with different people with different styles. Your board is totally upto scratch for the carparks, and aslong as you have a helmet your alll good to go. Usually Josh's dad (lance evans) skates with the crew or Arbi when he's not injured or changing nappys, Lance is a very welcoming person and if you contact him over asra he will assure you that its safe to come out and shredd on the friday nights, in saying that he is not responsible for everyones saftey of course hahaha , and usually its only the secruity guards that will tell you not to skate in the carparks....... I only come down every now and then, But there is a mix of riders from 13years old to 40+
but also every one there are fairly responsible and stufff.............kinda not very legal though, how old are you guys cause we skate from like 9 till 12-1 in the morning
