How to slide?
As alot of you may have seen in my photo's i am a mega stinkbugger how do i stop that and slide properly?Cheers. p.s didnt know where else to put this sorry

okay ive got the actuall sliding with no hands and position part down but i now always go striaght into a 180 but i want to slide sideways for a bit any ideas? ive got a problem though im using 75a wheels so i can only slide in the wet so cant practice heaps

yeah worked that out yesterday after loosening up my trucks heaps for a bit of pumping practice and the back began gettin slippery but i dont think my boards handling it to well:( starting to hear ckeaks and cracks and dont want to trash my board just yet i still need it and its still so young :( so so sad:(

Get drifiter wheels, or go faster, or try and use your legs to kick and position the board where you want. Or do all three. What wheels?

S9 bamboo 70mm 75a just been out for a little while been bustin colemans no hands no probs but i am hoping to get a hellcat round chrissy sometime so that will have either purple or yellow durians on it

I've heard some really good things about this wheel (http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/longboard-skateboarding...), despite that it is 75a, you should be able to slide on it. But it may be a bit hard to break out coz it is soft, but yeah, the drift should be long and good.
Going faster will keep it sideways longer. Try going fairly fast, and instead of relying on turning to break the wheels out, try using your legs a bit more. I'm trying to get the hang of it now, and instead of turning as much, I kick the back leg out to get it perpendicular to the road (90*), the kick with the front foot a bit to straighten it up.
ATM I am trying this in heelside laybacks and 1 hand colemans, but I am having trouble bringing the board completely straight again, and it is coming to about 45* instead of 0* when it hooks up.

Tell me about it i cant get the board to come back after going 90* but the trick is throwing your shoulders into it but it throws you into a 180 as for kicking your back foot out in colemans lean back on your hand more and it makes it easier
