Also the driver must know you r there at all times. THIS WAS NOT GAME TO TRY TO ANNOY TRAFFIC.

ASRA Admin Comment by Bugs on January 3, 2010 at 10:05: Skitching is especially dangerous with any part of you or your board in front of the rear wheels of the car. When something goes wrong you're a good chance of going under the wheels.

Comment by Robbo on January 3, 2010 at 9:50: It must be said that skitchin is not a recommended thing to do by ASRA and we would discourage any young punters trying to do that. The potential for a serious injury is immense, the chance of a very bad media story blown way out of proportion is also very great. Even skitchin with people you know is very dangerous, I once had Leeso skitchin with me back up a hill and his front wheel touched my back tyre with the wheel nearly sucking him under the car. The board got sucked under the car and leeso nearly got sucked in with it. If you were to do this to a car that is unprepared for it all they need to do is hit the breaks and your skating career is over. If a driver saw you do this to their car you can guarantee they will hate skateboarders for ever from that point and will be the first people to call the cops if they see you at a downhill session.

Premium Member Comment by Benbro on January 3, 2010 at 9:07: any road in syd and surrounds are possibly a scbs run.,maybe not in a group but individuals hittin randomness is goin on everywhere,personally im not into skitchin unless i kno the driver.,on the coast we have no carparks so its all roads.,to break the boredom of riding your known safer spots,ive been riding a couple of sections of road that only six mths ago i thought were unrideable,just tooo gnar to be skated,..3 sic hairpins in a 1 klm section of road,above this is to rough,below this is to rough,just 1 klm of smooth madness...after you come out of the last left hairpin its shutdown pendy time on a hill thats still about 10% grade...skating is all about creativity and expression,if your capable anything goes.
