haha yeah i know, if i have to do a run with a backpack i usually just try and find something to tie the strap close together to stop it moving, but yeah... hard to pick up any decent speed with a huge backpack on.

Cheers Jayden.  Yeah most of those surf style backpacks dont have horizontal straps on them to stop lateral movement so i guess you'd need to pack the bag well otherwise it could rock from side to side.  Makes one hell of a spine protector though!

yea lots of the other groms who can't get a car out usually just bus it out to spots. Most of the spots being near the main grom run, eagle on the hill, so that is the hill which people usually bomb with backpacks. And cause they go out all day they gotta take alot of gear!

Do you find weight transfer a problem with the size of those backpacks and not using a waist or chest harness on them? Wouldn't something like a camelbak be more streamlined or do you have to carry a lot of gear? Just noticed that most of the videos with the younger crew in Adelaide all skate with those big packs on and wondered how much it affects you at high end speeds, if at all?
