Will be interesting to see Bernie. This was only a free ride but I had passed about 30 other riders to get to the front of the pack, luckily we all crashed off the road or it coulda been a whole lot more messy. The fella in the yellow and red is underage so he can't buy me beer haha, the Texan in the front said we will have a brew when we next see each other though so that's all good. Shit happens sometimes and this was certainly shit, haha!

WTF!! How could he not have noticed that other dude, I really hate when skaters don't pay attention to their surroundings. That sucks man, hope you heal up well.

Dani, thats very unfortunate, and I hope you mend quickly.

I wonder if eventually skateboard racing will need to develop guiding principles (or rules) like in other racing sports, so that all racers know what is fair or what to expect, like in motorcycle racing, where the number 1 rule is:  The rider in front alway has right of way.

Applying "the rider infront has the right of way"principle to this unfortunate incident, means that the rider that hit him from behind is technically also a part of the problem, even though there was a sudden change in race line by the front rider.
As to the sudden change in line, it is very hard to prove if it was a deliberate and malicious action, instead of merely being one rider's method of getting set for the corner, just like a check slide.

This all means approaching any skateboard racer from behind, while entering a corner is going to be tricky, specially if you have never raced with them before, and don't know their race lines.

I reckon that the two of them owe you beers.
