Super pimp GPS goggles tell you speed, route, elevation, distance, temp, air pressure, humidity all in front of your eyes appearing in hologram fashion 6 feet away. Plugs into computer for stats. Sickest shit ever.

alright been reading into this technology in general to see how you could do it.

a motobike company bought one out about 6 years ago that clipped onto the outside of your helmet and projected speed, rpm etc onto the visor (very small display). but has been discontinued. not sure why, but a lot of the motorbike forum feedback is they were flawed and pointless.

from what i could find, the only proper HUD helmet is the F-35 joint strike fighter helmet. complete with eye tracking etc.. in one ugly ass helmet.

the night vision would be sweet idea on a skate helmet tho..

if the heads up display was in a pair of ray bans then it would be worth the cash.

My old Garmin Edge 205 gps had all the training features mentioned but without the display being in your face so to speak.

I paid about $250 for mine although their rrp is up around $350

no, the little display makes it seem like it's a projected image, but its not actually projecting.

various review site:  The quality of the display is impressively bright and crisp. The Zeal press materials claim the display creates a virtual image that appears to be about six feet in front of the user. However, don’t expect a heads-up-type display in which the data is superimposed on the view in front of you. In my experience, the display appears to be a foot or two away, similar to viewing a motorcycle speedometer or a GPS in your car.

it is a holographic projection that appears 6 feet in front of your eyes. There is also a small lcd display inside.

as the technology advances it will become cheaper and more versatile. This is an amazing new concept which should someday be used by gravity riders of all disciplines. We never know really how fast we travel or the exact distance or the time it takes us. We can work those individual things out but imagine having a second brain inside your helmet with a holographic display giving you all that and more. This is just the beginning, technology like this can be used to help riders understand roads they have never ridden before and would be ideal for race/time-trial training to help understand which parts of the track you are slow and why. If you're not into knowing then thats fine too but it would be interesting to literally 'see' the physics behind the gnar we skate.

CAD$429 for goggles.

Integrated into an already expensive helmet = $1000+

One good crash and it all goes down the gurgler.

I'd rather be in Mischo's shoes and have the sponsor buy it for me.
