Rad vid!! love all the guys in the kitchen lookin at you like, "wtf is he doing wearing a cam whilst making this burger" lol. flip that fucker off, who are they to sit in their fuel consuming, exhaust producing metal box and beep at a guy who is using a 100% green method of transport to pass by and take up 10 - 20 seconds of their life. FEEL THE STOKE

helmets are not negotiable,.always wear one,..just an interesting observation ive made as far as image goes....to right dani-...when we wear leathers means it must be dangerous therefore we must be stopped,...i agree with sean,so over trying to change peoples perceptions, get on with it n skate......i think groups of 20+ cyclists peddling at 30kph down a 110kph freeway is mega danger and super gay but i dont go callin the cops complaining and sounding my horn at them, live and let live i say!

That's a fair point Ben. It may be that if they see you dressed in full leathers they think ''he is preparing for something''. If you are in a shirt and jeans then what your doing cant be that dangerous or your be wearing leathers.

I think the more important point with the helmets is the turning yourself into a vegetable argument. The good image argument comes second.

yeah in melb you get the cops called on you for everything to do with skateboarding, i got pulled over this arvo skating up to the shops to get a loaf of bread (had a lid and gloves on) but thats just skating, i am abit over trying to argue a point with people who are in general closed minded about the issue, people tell me to stop skating or hassle me, flip the bird and keep going

it will never be legit on public roads,,...motorist get pissed at alternative transport coz your getting home quiker than them.....what is a good image?in our eyes,if we put helmet and safety gear on it is a good image,in everyone elses eyes were still maniacs........
i have noticed, that when we fully gear up,leathers and all, we draw stacks of attention, and end up getting moved on,but when you wear normal clothes, people think your just another skater on his way somewhere and drive on without bothering to call the cops......the minute we do whats best for us it works against us.......

haha well i guess things are different in melbourne as opposed to everywhere else. If you're riding in the middle of the road they call the cops on you, if you're riding in a park, they call the cops on you, if you're riding in a carpark they call the cops on you. doesn't matter how much safety gear you got on they still see you as an annoying skater punk.

so we try to not piss off the public and stay out of their way just so we get a chance to skate without getting busted.

rad video rob, got me craving for a burger right now.
