Barefoot Ted holds the 24hour Ultraskate record (242miles!) and my understanding is he pumped the whole way. I did see Jeff in the vid pushing a bit but those topmount LDP decks are really high and not much fun to push.

For those interested in the LDP thing http://www.pavedwave.org/ forum has all the tech and reports on the marathon.

looks like they mostly pushed and pumped in between. Although tough to tell, maybe they pumped a lot too. In any case, pretty cool stuff.

Did anyone click on the link to another video "skater breaks his head" - super gnarly head bongo.

give us some notice and i would be down for this for sure, need some serious fitness training between now and then though..... pushing on a bennett height truck as well is pretty damn impressive

i think your push race sounds great trav,.so easy to organize..........i would give 20k a go on that cycleway,...its ups and downs all the way isnt it?get the odd roll section to rest an unseasoned LDP'ers legs.

I'm learning to switch push, but I can't use my left foot at higher speeds yet. and yeah, a 40km race would be rad, even if it is just for a bit of fun.

a push race would be sick, and force rookies like me to learn switch pushing for sure!

prob more 50/50 Kam. We'd have to check with Odiwan what's possible on a pump deck, they only pumper with decent distance under his belt that I know of in Oz..

Cant watch the vid here at work. But this guy actually pumped the whole thing?! That is pretty rad. But seems like it would only work on flattish courses with smooth bitumen.

The prize purse is unreal... Some major sponsors behind it.

It's time to get fit people. More LD races coming your way!!!
