well in that case go half yellows and half reds in the "downhill" set. that will do the trick. the only experience i have on anything other than Downhills is Super Carves and they turn as well as a slalom board, which is something you don't want at speed. the shape of the downhill's are much more suited to speed, whether its me on the board or you. If you want some carve to go with that, then go half yellows.
but its up to you. i test the equipment i buy to suit me, no one else. I really can't recommend what will suit you, especially since i haven't properly ridden with you before and have no experience on that board whatsoever. so do what you think is best and remember at the end of the day, you will adapt to anything. the willunga boys learnt on dervish's and worse and they can make it down their hill without any probs. its the rider that controls his board, not the other way round.
get reds all round. for your weight greens are too hard and yellows are too soft.
there is no point just buying 1 pack (2 bushings) because you won't be able to properly test them out.
and make sure you get Venom Downhills and not Standard or Supercarve.
I use Big Zigs because they are good and I know them. I use yellow on the front and Green on the back for more grip. Not to sure about the Otangs yet. They are great wheels to.
Townsville ???
Hey Jonty
I do the whole of Eagle now but started from MTB car park and worked my way up. Like Andre said start just up from the first national parks gate on Montecute as that's where I started from and make sure you ride within the limits of yourself.
Good luck tomorrow
I have been longboarding for 10 years and 29 years in total. I started on a small plastic skateboard. I now ride a JimZ Kebbek board with Kooky trucks and Big Zigs...
How long have you been riding for? And what are you riding now?
I have some kelly race 39 1/2 inch , new spec 40 1/2
& some decks that the glass is a little foggy but are 100% construction could do complete for around $260 - $320 delivered
contact me through my site www.skateboarddownhill.com &
i will send some photos I'll look in the factory in the morning i may have a blank so you can choose the shape !
yeah man bin riding it for about a year got when we first went to the city for a garage sesh we thought it was the sickest carving board. but now i mainy use it for DH and Sliding
it will take like 2 days to get there... i'd say hurry up with the order coz there are only 2 left in the country and they are going to be the last two for at least 4 months... One of already promised to a mate of mine so that leaves one! Whoever buys it first gets it so you should be quick!
