After round 3 we broke for lunch, and rested our legs. After lunch it was onto round 4, which was the decider for who would be in the finals. It was a battle between the lower group as to who would make it through. After two tough heats, Darren and Nath made it into the finals.
Next was the final battle for who would come out as champ. The final race was between Jeremy, Steve, Leeso, Darren and Nath.
The Final Results
STEVE - 1st Place
JEREMY - 2nd Place
LEESO - 3rd Place
DARREN - 4th Place
NATH - 5th Place
After the finals the whole group headed back up the hill for a final fun run. Up until this run, there had been no injuries for the day, but of course, the "one last time" curse kicked in. Ben was overtaking Nath and hit a catseye, which threw him off his board, and he took out both Nath and Reedy. Bens board then continued to fly down the road nearly taking out Ash and Jeremy. Ben hurt his knee and Nath hurt his side, but both are OK.
A big thanks to Jeremy for organising such an awesome event, and for giving us somewhere to stay for the day, and also a big ups to Steve for organising, and donating the prizes and trophies for the day.
Now we know it can be done, there will be more outlaws in the future, and hopefully even sanctioned races. Next up, Lismore.
