Im looking at getting a proper set of handles like a streetluge.

@Jacko. Got a few skateboards. Not enough luges. ;]

Yeah Sakamoto.
I love my Buttboard. This is a step closer to a Luge.
We should go for a bit of a roll one day and you can try it out.

Does it get wheel bite without the risers? coz it looks like the pan part could be lower to the ground. Those handles could easily be modified to something race worthy. Looks like it'd be fast!

That would be great, Matty...if we can hook up, definately love to roll.
Owen, you're right about the spec for Classic being wood core only...spot on, but there is "allowances" regarding a "dropped pan", etc. It comes down to what individual organisers will allow, but if you followed the basic Classic rules for racing IGSA events it would be a tough call to allow it. Still a totally valid vehicle to go and ride though!!!!!

Somehow I think the drop gives this quite an advantage over a flat type classic luge. I dont think it can be classed as a classic luge, but it really doesnt matter because Im not interested in racing it, just riding it.

@ Phill, yeah I set it up like this to get the best turn without wheelbite. It works very well. I had a blast riding this thing yesterday. :D

I can proudly say this thing is the bomb!
Its soo fun! More support than an traditional buttboard though, and i'm not complaining! Easier on the abbs
Got to take it back to the hill climb soon Matty! Top the top speed on that thing!

Matt, I am getting very interested in the classic luge idea. Like to see the latest photos of your current set up.

PS is it possible to slide a luge in a corner?

Im looking at getting a Sparks buttboard. I still like the skateluge, but a proper classic luge is also great fun.

Not easy to slide,... but I did get it sideways a bit in the wet at Noosa. It can be done.
