Pete hill I've got a six year old son and like all skaters with kids I've done some rad stuff with him including some bombing small stuff.
Once I under estimated the run off and had to bail running it out dragging my son as I did he screamed and bleed so I'm speaking from experiance .
Do you think I anticipated the outcome???

Comment by Marama Kake on November 16, 2009 at 14:54: well we were going so slow by the time the shot was taken it wasn't funny. and if i did fall i would be all about protecting him first. hell if i came out scratched, bruised and broken bones, it would be better me than him... you boys who bomb hills and drop into bowls know its all in the fall. I just have a hell of a lot more presious cargo than my self on board this time. Im not bombing huge hills, shit everytime i grab my earphones, he runs to the board and grabs the skatie stands there pi\oints at it and hops on. every morning aunty marama takes little Teoha for a skate. Im not about to put his life in danger because i want him on a board. he wakes me up first thing with the skatie.... so sorry if i have offended anyone, but hell we were just having fun doing what we love to do.... skate... and now his mum and two older sisters are all into skating and fighting over my two skateboards im now having to get a couple of decks for the family!

If people wanna ride without a helmet or carry a baby while they're going for a cruise, then they can if they want. Maybe that's what makes it more enjoyable for them. It's their choice. Everyone should stop trying to force all these rules on people. Great photo!
