mmm leady i know whatcha mean, on account of my crappiness i prefer not to skate bowls in front of other people who are just going to heckle you. It makes a big difference if you can just ride and have fun without being made fun of, even if you are crappy!
and dougy, that looks mad fun. What are those blue wheels that are you running?

I was at another skatepark this week with a couple of skaters that can skate transition. I was the only one at the park wearing a helmet,... and I was wearing my slide gloves.
Kids on scooters are the biggest skatepark bullies,... they always ask the pointed questions. There were a couple of 14-15 year old scooter brats.
Why are you wearing those gloves?
I might be putting my hand on the ground,.... and I dont have handlebars.

A couple of real little kids 8-10 were trying to get the guts to drop off the steepest part. The 14 yos were trying to pressure them into doing it.
I was saying to the little ones. -I wouldnt do it without a helmet if youve never done it before.
They said to me,... yeah, I was just thinking that.
Then one of the 14 year olds then admitted first time he did it he was wearing a helmet. I congratulated him for being honest.
What goes on in a skatepark is pretty harsh.... the peer group pressure and the fact that most of these little twunts just want to pressure kids into hurting themselves is not right. Not cool to want to protect yourself, not cool to chicken out of the stuff that can get you hurt or injured.
