Get a grinder and round the edges, that would be my main concern, and also, put something over the screws, they can get you when you aren't looking.

 

If you can, make it about half the hight, or reduce the hight, there is nothing worse than wanting to bail and having a board stuck to your front foot...

kind of defeats the purpose of owning a board with a front footlocking concave,that thing looks like its keeping your foot out of the sweet spot......

i might try make a smaller one with a bushing. and an a adjustable plate to put it out further.
