ride your gear in the rain is should be alright, its a skateboard its designed to get hammered around all over the place. the only thing that will happen is your bearings will get really shit after a while if you dont keep em spinning, then you just get a new set and your good to go, cost = $25.
boards are fine, they are built to last. wheels can ride through anything. trucks will rust a little but it will take years of intense rain riding for it to make a difference.

so in other words, rain riding -------> good to go

becoz i thought it rewined the bearings and stuff.....
