Just before i left townsville i thought i would go check out the big hill behind the strand, walkn round this top lookout thing heaps of steps no one there.Nearly back at the carpark and bang nearly step on a snake baking itself on the pathway steps. Jesus it totally freaked me out, it was sort of brown lookn and just as spun out as i was.Pretty stoked no bites good in the end. There was a snake seen just falling of a cliff as well.

Yes it does look like a peacock, but if it did not have the massive colour tail it would be a peahen (the female version)

Yeah its a Peahen, back when i first lived in townsville there was a big peacock community up on mt stuart, some had really long and nice feathers. They were amazing, now after a long amount of time and poaching their is only a small amount left up the top of the hill. I'm amazed they don't glow in the dark with all the radio activity up there.
Trust me if you saw a bush turkey you'd know one. They are crazy lookin!
