Is this a one-off or are you planning to make more? It's the freakin bomb.

Thanks!  It's my first deck made with a Roarockit TAP bag i got a few weeks back - all up it's the 5th board I've made and learning from every one - I'm hooked on making them but not looking for a means of retirement!  More to follow as soon as I can find a reasonable source of good veneer or thin plys...

Understood. There is a definite lack of dropdecks amongst Aussie builders so I was hoping someone might start producing.

Have a sick one! It looks solid as.

like I said - if it goes as good as it's turned out, I'll be making a few more and let you know ;)

Hey Deeks, this board, process & my question probably belongs in the BoardMakers group, do you like the vac Bag press enough to say it IS THE way to go? Cause the board definitely looks sweeeet!

for sure D-D-S     I was impressed with the bend I was getting in my simple rib-press but the bag, whilst it takes a little more setup, is awesome.  I needed 4 presses to get to the end result (2 sheets at a time) but each was probably only a 10 minute activity from start to finish, then the usual 6 to 8 hours waiting for the glue to dry.

I've managed to get some genuine veneer (hoop pine again - 2mm) so will be hitting the shed again in the next week or so and expect to be able to use more sheets in each press (roarockit tend to do all 8 in one go according to their website - depending upon how big a drop they do)

this seems to be the biggest TAP kit you can get in AU (http://www.carbatec.com.au/roarockit-thin-air-press-kits_c19154) and when I spoke to the very helpful team a Roarockit they recommended the 70" bag for drop decks but having made one I think i could have gotten away with the 47" bag - no matter really!
