Thanks!  it's actually 8 plys of 1.5mm 3-ply hoop pine so that makes 24...!!!

I flattered Freddie, but my 14yo son would kill me!  Also, it's the first drop deck I've made so I'd hate to sell something that might turn out to be a dude.  This weekend will see it get a good work out so I'll let you know how it goes.  I'm planning to make some more if I can find a good reliable source of materials - this one has about $100 worth of 1.5mm hoop pine ply and I guess maybe $20+ worth of fibreglassing gone into it.  I've gotta find somewhere cheaper for the ply/veneer, but I'll keep you posted!  Deeks

From a boat building supply mob in Seaford, Melbourne. Marine timbers is their name and they get the stuff for hobbyists and dudes who build ultra lite planes.

They can get it in 2400 x 1200mm sheets. They also can get birch and gaboon but it's pricey...

i live up near coffs harbour so bit out of my way trying to find a dealer who sells hoop pine. im going to attempt making something like a daddow 120y cross skatement bird of prey just a nice downhill top mount 30inch wheel base ect

Cool. Check with your local yacht club / boat supply places - you might find someone who stocks or can order in. The stuff is often used to build kayaks and such...

any tips on press design dont want any W concave just a nice lock in concave through the length of the board
