Just turned 30 also, never to late to learn some new tricks. Awesome work Kelly some of the looks you get are priceless. You aren't alone with the Mums I saw a lady around your age last night cruising to the shop on a penny in Geelong.

Great stuff Kelly.

I just turned 30 a few months ago and realised I didn't want to be old!  I used to love DH skating on my park board when I was a teenager (was never actually any good at park skating) and realised that I could easily buy a board and do the same thing now.

My Churchill LTD is on the way from the US this week.

Hi all, I am a 46 year old mother of 3, have picked up a board again after many, many years, I am now awaiting my 1st longboard, I have been skating with the kids to school everyday on a $20 pennyboard! - the looks I get from the other Mum's are very strange! I must say it is very empowering to leave the stereotype of what is expected as a Mum, am absolutely loving skating and cannot get enough! I might start a "Mums skating club ha ha but there is interest!

G'day all, I feel like the young bloke in here. 34 going on 16!! I hadn't skated since i was about 16-17 and got on a longboard for the first time about 11 months ago. I've never fallen so much in anything than now but i've never smiled like i do when i fall either! Love it! Got a race on at Geelong tomorrow. Buggered my knee last weekend but it's not feeling too bad so i may just race yet.

I get the weird look all the time when I tell people I skateboard. First board was bought at Mick Simmons Sports store in Lidcombe in about 1973. Have been skating regularly since. Met Daddow and crew about 18months ago and introduced me to ASRA - I couldnt believe you could go so fast without getting speed wobbles. Now totally obsessed and skating faster and harder than ever. Turning 51 this year. Biggest drawback is arthritis in the joints. Its so true that your only as old as you think you are. My 14 year old son is more mature than me according to me wife!
