Now I have heard of many techniques to transfer or print an image/graphic onto a deck, but I was wondering which process have you used that is most succesful?

paint pen for the win!
haha nah i would also be interested to hear some other guys techniques.
I used to make decks and the most hassle was geting a graphic or logo on there.First tried printed rice paper and varnish it on . Ends up it takes a few coats and takes heaps of time because your re varnishing the deck all the time. After that stencil cuting each colour with tape was tried but only good with a few colours. Used standard spray cans but you need to let it dry 24hrs between coats or it bubbles and turns into a sandpaper re do.End result looked good but it took heaps to do. Nowdays there are cool print shops which can print detailed stickers to whatever you want.
For a one off go see qiuck print or something like it. Save time less hassle.
i dont understand what you mean with the rice paper, ive never tried it so could you please explain how it works?
ive herd of it before but not sure how
as far as i know print onto rice paper then varnish/ epoxy it onto your board. have not tried this method though.

what i find really easy is using cotton. cut up an old shirt that would look cool on the bottom of your build and then lay it down just like you would a sheet of glass.

ps. worth putting down a white base coat first as your shirt will go see through showing wood grain underneath the print, unless that is the desired effect.

pps. lurk the build forum on silverfish. there is a huge amount of info about transferring graphics.
ye, sorry, just being lazy..
i've gotta mate whose into t-shirt printing, he says he thinks he can get sick graphics onto my boards via screen printing, i am very intrigued. i'll keep you all posted
i found that getting a fabric you want and epoxying it to the board works well. just gotta make sure that the fabric isn't to thin and isn't going to melt when you use the epoxy
ive heard if you print a pic from the internet onto paper then paint pva on the printed side of the picture and glue it face down onto the board, let it dry then sand down a little bit, then wet ur fingers and rub the paper off and you should get ur graphic, btw iv never tried on wood and remember the graphic is going to come out in reverse.
yea robbie apparently if you print out your picture on normal paper then clear coat the board, then while the clear is wet put down the paper let the clear coat dry for and hour or two (whatever the can recommends) then wet your hands and rub of the paper...... note: image will turn out in reverse, turn your picture around in photoshop or a similar program.... I haven't tried this method yet
precisely what i was trying to say
