ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Hi

This is my first day in this forum, so please have some mercy.

I was thinking on buying some used longboard mostly to cruise on around my neighborhood and some parks and practice for my snowboarding . I have limited experience with skateboards.

I was considering a freebord, but It looks more difficult to ride than a longboard.

I am looking on spending up to au$150, and I would prefer to pick up somewehre fom Melbourne, but I will not discard post. It doesn't have to be good quality, but something to start and get interesting.

I had a look for a couple of hours on some of the longboards published on the marketplace forum, but I wasn't able to find anything right for me.

Thanks for your help

This would be a really good board to start out on. http://www.skateboardracing.org.au/forum/topics/wts-sector-9-tree-b... The sidewinder trucks are awesome for carving. You might want to see some pics of the condition of the deck first though.

Any board with a bit of flex and a pintail shape would be good place to start. Randal or Paris 50* reverse kingpin trucks are great for carving but there are also others out there that will get the job done. And you'll want some soft wheels between 65mm and 75mm.

or you could buy my sector 9 ala moana complete with sidewinders and s9 wheels, 140???

Hi Robbie

Do you have this board publish on Marketplace? What is the general condition of all the parts? Do you have any pics? S9 wheels are the original ones that come with the complete board?

sup dude its not published in market place as i was hoping to just sell to a friend or relly. the condition is pretty good very small chip or 2 on the tail, pretty scratched deck but nothing that alters the ride, trucks are sweet mint condish, wheels are coned and worn down a bit. i think the board is easily worth more than im asking but i need a quick sale for some new slide gloves. yes the wheels are the stock wheels. anything else?
no pics but i can upload some to my page if your interested.

Hi Robbie

It would be great if you could put some photos of the chips and also of the trucks and wheels.

You can send them by email if you prefer

want to buy a dervish complete for $280???
Thanks Lewis, but it's way out form my budget. I was thiking of spending up to au$150 for my first step. I still don't know if I will get interested after a couple of weeks
