Which speed board should I get?
I'm $130 ish off enough for a complete Evo setup. Should I get the Evo or a different one?
BTW which trucks in the setup? And which wheels?

The OMNI deck rips guys, even when i rode it without griptape it felt good (couldn't help myself!) Got mine setup with Randal 180's and O'tangs. It's longer than the Evo both deck and wheelbase so it feels nice and stable at high speed. Cary doesn't sell direct through his site, only retail outlets but you guys in SA (Jonty, Neddo etc) im getting some sent over soon so if you want one let me know and we'll get them all shipped at once.
I'll have it on Sunday too, you're more than welcome to have a go.

what trucks have u got on that OMNI drop board? do u have randal DH plates? it seems the wheel base is alot shorter than mine... the randal DH plates does that though, thats one thing i hate about them... which is why im more stoked on the gullwings... not only do they come in 35* (bombers) and 50* (chargers) but the axle isnt fucked with... same axle height on both trucks and neither of them bring the wheelbase in a bit... and they are 190mm too

Yeah Jacko Randal DH, what i did though was as the deck needed to be redrilled to suit the randal plates i moved them in a bit and drilled the 2 extra holes on the inside of the deck instead of the outside. I think it shortened the wheelbase by about 3/4 of an inch.
Gullwings sound like the go though

Yeah Jonty, if you're after a complete get in touch with Jacko im sure he can give you some good advice as to how you should set it up. Im still learning and experimenting with trucks bushings etc but it feels good (even for a grom like me!)
Actualy i think we're doing a road trip out north on Sunday but i'll let you know later what the final plan is.

BTW now on Hopkin, there is a "complete board builder", it's a wizard which takes you through all the steps so you can choose EVERYTHING!

yeah dude ive spent countless hours over the past 2 weeks setting that thing up, its not quite finished yet as i still have to set up the downhill boards and slalom boards and such but i shall set up the OMNI Longboard builder now and then put in the OMNI downhill board builder after that so have a look in a few hours and you can customize your board to the bullshit, just the way you want it to be...
Im really stoked with the new customizer, it really gives people the options they need to build a board the way they want, and the best thing is it uses live stock so if an item is out of stock it will say, but you can still back order or add to the 'wish list'
