Victorian Alps - Falls Creek/Mt Beauty
Im down here with hagbags and we've found some absolute gems. Get on to google maps and search for tawonga gap rd near mt beauty, its about 8k's of crazy downhill blowjobs, its the farkin goods. 4 massive switchbacks that will make your balls shrink to the size of raisins... haggy had a good encounter with two semi trailers mid hair-pin, pulled it off like a cheap kings cross hooker, a pro in other words. smashed that hill farking hard.
Just checked out the roads leading up to falls creek and holy shit there are some even better runs. Nice smooth alpine pavement winding all the way with about 10 downhill runs, all fast and all technical, but the main show was the road leading out of Falls Creek itself, 6k's of sweeping turns (basically no straights) and average speeds of 70-80k's with some really hairy corners and right-angle turns, with one massive 270degree hairpin to finish it off... The run then goes slightly uphill and washes your speed but then continues on for about 10k's, a bit rougher but still damn ridable. If you dont get to skate these hills in your lifetime i say sucked in coz your seriously missing out in some of the best roads oz has to offer...

so the race whens it on so we can go down with an excuse, sound epic if there keen the week b4 newtons? shit hey!! sic times ahead, the aussie leg just got massive good for the southern leg sa has 2 races 2. looks like a big season ahead better get the money together quik smart hey. Can't be going into bathurst with bad ranking. 2009 train on Aussie's!!!

The whole hill down from Falls Creek to the bridge is amazing. About 15km of constant winding, twisting, downhill. Jacko did the whole lot in one run, took him about 15 minutes. Pretty wild. We didn't get up onto the unsealed roads above the village so didn't get a look at the gradient. But apparently the sealed road will loop all the way around to Mt. Hotham. Imagine a race from Hotham to Falls Creek. Push race combined with Downhill. Could be rad.
