Hey, iv been longboarding for bout a month or more now. I'm into some hard carving, flat pushing n moderate downhill(not full on bombing), and I'm learning slides. I want my setup to be able to carve n slide hard n handle medium paced downhill runs. I'm ordering a set of venom bushings, from my research I think running venom barrels boardside with super carves roadside will suit my needs best, with running a stiffer boardside bushing than the cones roadside. Is this how you guys recommend?? I'm 180 - 185lb so I was thinking going with the yellow 85a super carves roadside and 87a purple barrels boardside. Do you guys think that running a softer bushing combo with a tighter kingbin nut is better or a stiffer bushing combo running looser nut setting, wats ur thoughts on this?

Do you think the yellow n purple combo I Stated above will work fine with my body weight 180lb? Or should I run a harder boardside barrel?

Sorry double post, accident.

bushings are somthing you just got to play around with to somtimes find what feels best for you,...with your weight you could probs run red barrels allround,.if you want to go fast you could throw in a green boardside in the rear to stiffen it up a little more

your overthinking the bushing situation hella right here. like benny said just chuck red barrels all around. if they are too hard go the next duro down. ur just cruising and carving and ripping around town, theres no need to get fully tech and change the different duros top/bottom front/back bla bla bla just keep it the same bushing same colour the whole way around your board. otherwise your just going to confuse yourself trying to figure out what works good for you

In my opinion, unless your really techy with your gear and doing upwards of 70kph i would just run the stock bushings. I've been longboarding for 2 and a half years and never bought a set of bushings.

whatever you do dont get an 85a super carve im 106lb and i run an 85a barrel rs and an 87a barrel bs and it is perfect great for fast dh runs super leany for corners and freeriding so if i were you i would go with some harder bushings
